2005 Winners

Our sewing contests have been so popular in the past many of you have asked us to do them again, so we are gearing up to get started on them. We are announcing two all new sewing contests! You can enter and get famous! Well, not exactly famous, but you can have fun sewing yourself a great nursing wardrobe. Winners will also be featured in our newsletter, catalog and/or website.

Prizes and Deadlines:

The first prize for the each contest will be $100.00. Think what fun you can have with that at your fabric store! Second Prize will be $50.00. Other winning entries will receive various gift certificates or prizes as available. If we feature your entry, you will receive a prize.

Sewing Contest Guidelines

If you want to enter our 2006 sewing contest, your entry must be postmarked or received by Nov 1, 2006.

Here are the basic entry guidelines:

1. Purchase any of our Nursing Classics Patterns. We must have you on file as a customer for you to win.

2. Sew a great outfit for you or someone else with your pattern. You can create either a nursing outfit or a nursing wardrobe. The person who enters must have done the sewing. Try to do some creative things with the pattern that you would like to share with other moms. Have fun and be creative.

3. Take some photos of your outfit or wardrobe preferably being modeled by you or the person for whom it was sewn. The winners are featured in our newsletter and/or catalog! You can use either digital photos or film photos. If you use film photos, make double prints and keep one for you because we cannot return photographs. Digital photos are best if taken with medium resolution so the file is not too big. Do not use the lowest resolution. For digital photo entries, just send them as an attachment to your e-mail. You can also send us a disk if that is easier for you. Remember, to win, you will want to send in a photo that is in focus and shows the outfit clearly. Mom, Baby, and nursing photos are wonderful. The photo is the most important part of your entry.

4. Write a brief paragraph or two about your outfit. Try to keep it to one side of one page. Include information about why you decided to make it, where you will wear it, how you like it, the fabric you used, etc. Typing is great but handwriting is fine. Do not stress the presentation too much. The content is the most important. Tell about things that would be interesting to other mothers.

5. Send us your photos and your story. Write “Sewing Contest Entry” on the envelope and send it to Elizabeth Lee Designs, PO Box 9, Neola, Utah 84053. Send e-mail entries to elizabeth@elizabethlee.com
