Our New Millennial Sewing Contest!
First, we are so excited about our new upcoming designs, we are announcing a sewing contest! Our last sewing contest was in 1998 and was so much fun, we just had to do it again! Someone told me that 2001 is actually the start of the millennium, so I breathed a sigh of relief! This is our new beginning! You can enter and GET RICH! Well, not rich, but you can have fun!

Winners will also be featured in our newsletter, catalog and/or website! We hope you will enter!

Prizes and Deadlines: There will be 4 quarterly contests. We will pick the top 3 entries from each quarter and they will compete for the top 3 year end prizes.

• The first prize for the Year-End Contest will be $100.00. Wow! Think what fun you can have with that at your fabric store!
• Second Prize will be $75.00
• 3rd prize will be $50.00. Everyone who enters will receive a prize of some sort! We have books, games, patterns, nursing pads and other fun stuff to give away! You certainly won't be losing anything by entering and you will have a lot of fun.

Each quarterly contest winner will also win a prize.

• 1st quarter contest entries must be postmarked by April 1, 2001.
• 2nd quarter contest entries must be postmarked by July 1, 2001.
• 3rd quarter contest entries must be postmarked by Oct 1, 2001.
• 4th quarter contest entries must be postmarked by January 20, 2002.

There will also be a special prize each quarter for the best nursing photograph submitted. Have fun!
We can't wait to see what you are up to! Rules may be subject to change if necessary.

Here are the basic steps to enter:

1. Purchase a Nursing Classics Pattern or a Sunrise Design Pattern.
2. Sew a great outfit for you or someone else with your pattern! You can create either a nursing outfit or a nursing wardrobe. The person who enters must have done the sewing! Have fun and be creative. We will also have a special category for a best children's outfit featuring the Sunrise Designs patterns. You can enter both the nursing category and the children's category, but only one entry per category, per quarter!
3. Take some photos of your outfit or wardrobe preferably with you or the person for whom it was sewn modeling it. Real photos are best. because we want to use the photos of the winners in our newsletter and/or catalog. Try to use a nice autofocus camera. Make double prints and keep one for you. We cannot return photographs. Digital photos may be acceptable if taken with high resolution. Remember, to win, you will want to send in a photo that is in focus and shows the dress/mom/baby well!
4. Write a brief paragraph or two about your outfit. Try to keep it to one side of one page. Include information about why you decided to make it, where you will wear it, how you like it, the fabric you used, etc. Typing is great, handwriting is fine. Don't stress the presentation too much. The content is the most important. Tell about things that would be interesting to other mothers.
