The above fitting measurements vary depending on the type of fabric you are using and the amount of wearing ease desired in your dress. For a looser dress, add more wearing ease or use a larger size. The actual bustline requires less ease than the hip area because of the built in ease associated with the nursing opening itself. Allow at least 2-4 inches of ease through the bustline area, 4-5 inches of ease through the hip area and at least 1-2 inches of ease in the upper arm. For a tight dress fashioned from a knit fabric you may be able to get by with less ease.

Depending on the type fo fabric you select, you will need 1/4 yard of interfacing for the front and back facing.

Yardage figures are as precise as possible. Please allow extra for shrinkage and pre-wash fabric before cutting. All layouts and yardage figures are for fabrics with or without nap except for view four which is without nap. Additional fabrics may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or one way designs.

Suggested fabrics: Mid-weigth fabrics, Velveteen, Wool crepe, Wool blends, Polyester Crepes and blends, Moleskin Brocade, Washable satins, Washable silks, Washable linens, Washable rayon, Challis, Velvets, Velveteens, Mid to heavy weight knits, Knit burnouts, etc. Cotton poly blends, 100% cotton fabrics.

Notions: All Views: One 22" long regular nylon or invisible zipper in a color to match your fabric. Thread. Small amount of iron-on interfacing for neckline facings or use self fabric interfacing. Hook and eye for back neckline, 1/2 yard of 1/4" wide elastic to secure side access nursing openings.Twill tape for reinforcement under snaps (optional) Size 16 open ring snaps or large sew in snaps to secure center snap nursing opening.
