* View four is designed for strech knits only.
Most knits come in 60" widths, so no yardage information is given for the
45"width fabric.
|
More information on fitting and how to select the proper size is included
in the sewing guide. Yardage figures are as precise as possible. Please
allow extra for shrinkage and pre-wash fabric before cutting. All layouts
and yardage figures are for fabrics with or without nap except as indicated
above. Additional fabrics may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or
one way designs.
Suggested fabrics:
Views One, Two and Three: Colorful cotton knits, cotton/poly
knits, cottons, cotton poly/blends, washable rayons, lightweight denim,
challis. Light transparent fabrics are not appropriate unless lined
with a solid fabric, views Two and Three Prints and multicolored fabrics
are ideal.
View Four: This view is designed for stretch knits only. Any
type of soft cotton or wool knit will be appropriate as long as it has
a good deal of stretch so the turtleneck will pull easily over the head.
Notions:
View One: 1 package bias tape to finish armhole openings.
View Two: One small button or a hook and eye to fasten back neckline.
All views: Thread. Small amount of iron-on interfacing for neckline facings.
1/2 yard 1/4" wide elastic to secure nursing openings.
Optional: Large snaps or medium security velcro dot to secure nursing opening.
