Yardage figures are as precise as possible. Please allow extra for
shrinkage and pre-wash fabric before cutting. All layouts and yardage
figures are for fabrics with or without nap except as indicated above.
Additional fabrics may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or one way
designs.
Suggested fabrics:
Basic Nursing Jumper: Views one or two: Washable wools or
wool blends, denims, corduroy, sturdy cotton knits, cotton/poly knits,
cottons, cotton poly/blends, washable rayons, lightweight denim, challis.
Light transparent fabrics are not appropriate. Prints and multicolored
fabrics are ideal.
Nursing Top: Any of the mid-light weight fabrics listed above.
Avoid heavy fabrics.
Notions:
Views One and Two: 1 package bias tape to finish armhole openings (optional)
Please read sewing guide before purchasing as there is an alternative sewing method.
View Two: 6 or 8 5/8" wide buttons, 2 yards of iron on interfacing for
reinforcing the neckline and front facings.
All views: Thread. Small amount of iron-on interfacing for neckline facings.
8" of twill tape or bias tape to reinforce seam under arm.
Optional: Two 6" decorative zippers for side seams. This will allow for
additional nursing ease. See sewing guide for more information.
