* For larger sizes, use neckline cutting line for size 18-20 and taper out on sideseam proportionately to add extra width through the bust area. One extra inch at each side seam will add four inches to the overall dimension of the top. Allow 2-4 inches of ease through bust and hip area of top and/or skirt. Cut between lines to get a better fit. For mom's with a small frame but a larger bustline, use smaller cutting line for neck and shoulder area and a larger cutting line for side seams. Buy yardage for larger size. For sizes smaller than 4-6, take in at side seams.

**Yardage is not available for this size range as it is not a standard size except in the skirt.
All view and sizes: For tunic length (see NC#207) add approximately 1/3 yard to above figures. For dress length (below knee) add approximately 1 yard to above figures. To line the overlays for views 4 and 5, for short version (waist level overlay add 2/3 yards of 45" wide fabric or 5/8 of 60" fabric. For longer version (hip level overlay) add 1 1/2 yards of 45" fabric or 3/4 yards of 60" fabric. Read sewing guide for more information.

Yardage figures are as precise as possible. Please allow extra for shrinkage and pre-wash fabric before cutting. All layouts and yardage figures are for fabrics with or without nap except for view four which is without nap. Additional fabrics may be needed to match stripes, plaids, or one way designs.

Suggested fabrics:
View 1: colorful cotton knits, cotton/poly knits, T-shirt knits, textured knits.
Views 2, 3 & 4: woven Cotton blends, mid-weight cottons, cotton poly/blends, washable rayons, lightweight denim, challis, silky fabrics, peachskin.
View 5: Sweater knits or other cotton poly knit fabrics. May also be suitable for flowing drapable fabrics. Light transparent fabrics are not appropriate for any view. Prints and multicolored fabrics are ideal.

Notions:
View 1: 3-8 small buttons for decorative finish. (We suggest 3/8"-l/2" diameter).
Views 2 and 3: 3-5 5/8" diameter buttons.
View 4: One large decorative button.
View 5: One small decorative button.
View 6: 5/8"-3/4" wide waistline elastic. Get enough to comfortably fit around your waist. For drawstring, buy a shoelace long enough to go comfortably around waist plus tie into a nice bow. All views: Thread. Small amount of iron-on interfacing for neckline facings.
