Yardage for Nursing Classics #105

 

Maternity/Nursing nightgown or sundress and matching infant gown features sweetheart neckline accented with hand embroidery or a purchased applique. Wide puff sleeves and a deep romantic ruffle accent the ballerina length of view one. View two features double ruffle sleeves and full length styling. View three features full length styling with long sleeves. View four features short puff sleeves and knee length styling. The infant gowns feature a button back opening and a ruffle at the hem. Optional nursing openings are concealed in the front yoke gathers of views one, two, three, and four.

This pattern is sized to conform to the national pattern industry standard with generous allowances for the changing figure of the breastfeeding mother. Views one through four includes cutting lines for sizes 6-20. Views five and six are sized to fit infants 0-6 months.

*This width of fabric does not allow for maximum use of fabric. You will be able to fit most of the infant gown on the scraps left over from cutting the mothers gown.

Suggested Fabrics: Cottons, cotton blends, cotton sheeting, flannel, batiste.

Notions: All views: Embroidery floss or optional lace applique to accent yoke, 1 yard of 3/8" elastic to gather sleeves. View One: 2 1/4" yards of ruffled lace to accent lower ruffle. View Five and Six: 2 3/8" buttons, 1 1/4 yards ruffled lace to accent lower ruffle.
