Oversized nursing shirt features basic button front styling with either vertical or horizontal nursing openings. Views 1 and 3 feature a single or triple tucked front. View 2 features a decorative caped panel to offer extra security. View 4 features a simple horizontal opening which is secured with buttons, snaps, or hook and loop tape. Special instructions are included for adapting this shirt for maternity wear.

Sizing

This pattern includes cutting lines for all sizes and is adjustable for Miss Petite. Note: Please compare your measurements to the chart below to select a size that is best for you. For a loose fit, select a larger size, for a closer fit select a smaller size. More information on fitting is included in the sewing guide.

Suggested Fabrics: This pattern is designed for light to medium weight WOVEN fabrics. Cotton, Cotton/blends, Washable silks and satins. Avoid white or transparent fabrics. (Patterned or heavy white fabrics will work for view 3, but are not really suitable for other views).

Notions: All Views: Thread, Interfacing. Views 1 and 3: 5-7 5/8" buttons for center front. 2 additional buttons are necessary if you want to button the cuff. See sewing guide for more information. View 2: 5-7 5/8" buttons or snaps to secure center front seam. 2 additional buttons or snaps are needed to secure lower front corner of cape (optional). Decorative conchos, nailheads and/or paints for decoration (optional). "Wonder Under" for appliques. View 4: 6 5/8" buttons or snaps for center front, 6 buttons or snaps for horizontal nursing opening. 2 additional buttons are needed to button bottom cuff. Optional: Medium Security Velcro Dots or 8" Hook and Loop Tape to secure horizontal nursing opening.
